Dr. Iina Ester Antikainen
Live Free, Laugh Hard Fitness
Dr. Iina Ester is an exercise physiologist and a motivation expert specializing in motivational lifestyle change programs. In her words, “To me, being fit is balance. It’s your ability to function physically, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually. The more aware you are of your reality, choices in life, and your capacity to change the things that keep you from being in balance, the happier you can be. I feel that being fit in all domains is what brings on the joy and motivation to accomplish your wildest dreams.”
Dr. Alexandra Band
Ochsner Health System
Dr. Alexandra “Sashi” Band is a board-certified OB/GYN. She attended Middlebury College in Vermont for her undergraduate studies. And returned home to Tulsa, Oklahoma for medical school where she attended Oklahoma State University College of Health Sciences. She completed her internship and residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, La, where she served as education chief resident in her final year.
Dr. Band practices all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology with special interests in adolescent care, obstetrics/pregnancy, gynecology, and gynecologic surgery. Her practice focuses on all aspects of women’s health and wellness as she seeks to help her patients achieve and maintain a lifetime of wellness, from pregnancy to post-partum care to lifelong gynecologic needs.
Kelly Boudreaux and Janae Holmes
Free to Be Power Yoga Kelly Boudreaux and Janae Holmes, co-owners of Free to Be Power Yoga, have similar stories of how they got into yoga. They each found yoga, pre-kids, in 2010 in different parts of the US, Denver (Kelly) and Chicago (Janae), to destress and heal their bodies from competitive sports. Before knowing each other, they both chose to leave their high-profile jobs and make yoga a career. When they met in Louisiana, it became clear they needed to do this work together. Their mission became and continues to be: change lives through yoga and healthy living. They have studio locations in Morgan City, New Orleans and, opening late summer, Metairie.
Priority Health Care
Ryanne Clarke is a Family Nurse Practitioner who discovered her passion for healthcare while volunteering in a free clinic established in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Since then, she has pursued multiple avenues including health care administration, quality improvement, and direct patient care. She has dedicated herself to working with under-privileged populations and has a special love for women’s health and HIV treatment and prevention. With a deep passion for education, Ms. Clarke completed an undergraduate degree at Tulane University in Spanish and Political Science. She went on to complete her medical training at John’s Hopkins earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). She carries that passion and love of education over to her patients and emphasizes the importance of teaching in her medical practice. Currently Ms. Clarke works at Priority Health Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center, focusing on providing high quality care to any and all patients regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. She is actively engaged in ongoing research and development of HIV treatments as well as the education of fellow medical professionals about the current state of HIV medicine.
Footprints to Fitness
April is a lover of animals, music, dance, corny puns, and is a true New Orleans native. Her favorite meal is 5lbs of crawfish, a sno-ball, and an order of beignets! It doesn’t get more Nola than dat!
Born and raised in Gentilly with a serious passion for health, wellness, and her city, April has 15 years of experience in the industry. April has been passionate about wellness her entire life starting as a dancer and athlete and later transitioning into teaching dance, fitness, Health, and Physical Education. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of New Orleans and is a certified fitness instructor, personal trainer, and CPR instructor. She was also a member of the New Orleans Saintsations. April’s devoted her life to educating others on taking charge of their lives and finding a healthy mind and body balance. TREAT YO’ SELF!
Vegan Village & NOLA Veggie Fest
Making its way into the hearts of our community is the vegan lifestyle. Leah Duncan isn’t new to this way of life. Growing up in the Schriever-Thibodaux area, she was raised vegetarian. Leah’s work in establishing Vegan Village and as the Vegan Outreach Director for the Humane Society of Louisiana has now come full circle, inspiring her to bring vegan living back to her hometown. Leah has worked for many years with the humane society to host NOLA Veggie Fest, while also starting her own endeavors as a way to share the vegan lifestyle with others. Leah’s involvement also led to great relationships that created future opportunities for her, including working with Field Roast Grain Meat Company and the creation of Vegan Village, a mobile vegan culture experience.

Noell Eanes, M.Ac., is an Eastern Medicine practitioner, licensed acupuncturist, and corporate wellness consultant based in New Orleans, Louisiana. She earned her master’s degree from Maryland University of Integrative Health, and has completed post graduate studies in both Japanese and Chinese healing. She has specialized training in some interesting niches of Eastern medicine including Classical Chinese Five-Element Acupuncture, Advanced NADA Detox, Japanese “Needle-less” Shakuju Therapy, Zero Balancing, Meditation, Qigong, and Reiki. Additionally, she is Certified Spiritual Healer and does distance healing sessions from anywhere in the world. Her passion is helping clients (and particularly women!) heal and create a deeper, more loving relationship with themselves and their bodies.
Dr. Gail Gillespie
Private Practice, Affordable Healing Arts
Dr. Gail Gillespie is a licensed psychologist in private practice specializing in the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents ages 2-17. She received her Ph.D. in 1993, and specializes in individual and family therapy for children with learning, attention, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She works at Affordable Healing Arts in the New Orleans Healing Center along with 12 other licensed mental health and healing arts professionals. She is actively involved in her state and regional psychology associations, serving on the executive councils of both organizations, and is a member of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology. She has been using Emotional Freedom Technique since 2009.

LeNae received her certificate from Duke University Integrative Medicine Center Leadership Development Program and her law degree from Tulane University Law School. Sometime between Tulane and Duke she completed her universal laws-centric life coaching studies and honed her intuition. When LeNae is not somewhere on I10 moving between her Lake Charles’ and New Orleans’ offices, she is keeping up with the ever-evolving interests of her family.

Dr. Debbi Hannan has been solving the puzzle of health in patients for over 30 years. Her holistic approach to wellness is founded in her chiropractic doctorate, master’s in nutrition, and certification with the Institute of Functional Medicine. Lauren is a Registered Dietitian from New Orleans, Louisiana. As a young girl, she has always had a passion for helping others, eating well, and fitness. Lauren graduated from LSU earning a BS in Nutritional Science, then went on to complete her dietetic internship from Tulane University. Lauren enjoys her full-time job working for Eat Fit NOLA, a nonprofit organization partnering with restaurants and markets around New Orleans spotlighting healthful options on menus and shelves. She believes that health embodies your mind, body, and soul. Staying active in faith and fitness plus feeding yourself the right nutrients equals a healthier, happier you. Project Peaceful Warriors
Chelsea Hylton is a New Orleans based educator and Founder of Project Peaceful Warriors, an organization bringing Trauma Informed Yoga and Mindfulness to students and educators. Chelsea is a registered 500-hour E-RYT, RCYT, and YACEP through the Yoga Alliance and a Yoga Ed. Trainer. Chelsea completed her RYT trainings with Marianne Wells Yoga School in 2011 and Charleston Power Yoga in 2013. Chelsea has been serving students and schools through Yoga and Mindfulness since 2009 starting in Charleston, SC where she received her B.S. in Physical Education at the College of Charleston and began her work with Empowered Minds. Chelsea began her work in New Orleans Charter Schools in the Fall of 2013. Chelsea aims to empower schools and communities in New Orleans with the tools of yoga and mindfulness so students can grow academically and as impactful members of their community. Her vision is that one day there will be an integration and collaboration of education and mindfulness in all schools to empower minds and change communities.
Eat Fit NOLA
Molly Kimball’s true passion is to help others live their strongest, healthiest lives possible. Board Certified as a Specialist in Sports Dietetics by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, Molly manages the nutrition program at Ochsner Fitness Center and is the founder of Eat Fit, a nonprofit initiative of Ochsner Health System that works with local restaurants to incorporate healthful items onto the menu.
A nutrition journalist, Molly is a weekly columnist for NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune, covering the latest trends in nutrition and wellness. She is also the nutrition and fitness expert for New Orleans’ ABC affiliate WGNO, with a weekly segment on WGNO’s Good Morning New Orleans, Get the Skinny with Molly. Throughout all aspects of her work, Molly strives to educate and inspire our community to take care of their whole selves, from the inside out.
Youth Run NOLA
Denali is the Executive Director of Youth Run NOLA, an out-of-school youth-development organization that develops leaders and healthy communities through distance running. After graduating from Tulane University, Denali taught middle and high school English. Throughout her years in the classroom, Denali supported the growth of Youth Run NOLA as a volunteer teacher-coach and Program Director before transitioning into a full-time role with the organization in the summer of 2014. She believes strongly in building community through the side-by-side activities of walking, jogging, and running, including at the organization’s annual 504k, a 5-kilometer race in Crescent Park. Denali grew up in Boulder, Colorado and loves being outside.
Residing in Covington, Louisiana, Saadet Metin has established and made strong roots in this ever-growing community. Moving from her home in Turkey, Saadet and her mother, Nur, opened Nur’s Kitchen. This local business has been serving the community for more than ten years with its incredible selection of Turkish-Mediterranean dishes. She believes in cooking with fresh, high quality ingredients to better serve her patrons. What makes Nur’s Kitchen stand out is the authenticity and freshness of the product. Offering healthy meals and side dishes, Saadet makes sure that quality is never sacrificed. With her expanding selection of ‘Non-GMO Verified’ dishes and healthy ingredients, Saadet and Nur’s Kitchen hope to show the community that eating right and staying healthy does not have to be costly to work. This January, Saadet expanded the business and selection to customers by opening a storefront. The opening of this location has allowed customers to get hot, healthy meals during the week with the convenience of being able to grab and go. The business is growing and Saadet is ready for what comes her way.

Dr. Karin Nielsen is a Naturopathic Doctor, Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Certified Clinical Thermographer, and Certified Lymphatic Therapist with Advanced Breast Care. Since establishing her clinic in 2007, she has continued her own education as well as educating her local community, Mandeville/Covington and New Orleans with health seminars and health fairs.
Karin’s journey in natural health started in 1993 when she faced a health crisis, inflicted by stress which started to overtake her health. Fortunately, her decision to try alternative medicine first, saved her life. In 2016, Stephanie Green Osborne, opened The Sit Gift, LLC as a Corporate Guided Meditation business. Over 2017, Stephanie expanded this entity to also offer Weekly Guided Group Meditation sessions at Terrance Osborne Gallery and Women’s Empowerment and Mindful Events locally and internationally.
She changed the business name to Meditate New Orleans with a goal of bringing mindfulness into the forefront of people of all ages, in and around the New Orleans area. The mission of Meditate New Orleans is to help people in the United States, connect with their higher selves by practicing stillness, gratitude, compassion and self-love.
Sandra Sigur, Holistic Health Practitioner
Sandra is a Reflexologist, Lymphatic LMT, Yoga Instructor, Aromatherapist, and Author of ‘Healing Groovy’ (holistic guide for the layperson). Her other services include Reiki, Reflexology Facelift, Supplement Energy Testing, Body Brushing, pH and Chakra Balancing, Ionic Foot Detox, Ear Candling and Pet therapies.
Sandra’s PawPaw was a Traiteur (a Cajun Faith Healer recognized by the Catholic Church). Her blend of skills has afforded her appearances on health talk shows, a radio wellness program, numerous health publications, as well as Guest Speaking, Health Fairs, and meetings on Capitol Hill with lawmakers to discuss the need for Holistic Health Care for all Americans.
